The egg is not only good for the inside of your body but the outside as well! Eggs are a versatile & inexpensive ingredient in any beauty recipe. They contain high levels of Selenium, which protects your skin & wards off the effects of ageing. Eggs also contain as many as 10 different vitamins & powerful proteins, which help strengthen & heal your skin, hair & nails. Scientists have also discovered that eggs contain regenerative properties, which promotes the formation of new cells. So, no matter which way you look at it eggs are perfect beauty tools.

 

 

 

EGG-CEPTIONAL AVOCADO AND CARROT MASK
To clarify, tone and lighten your face

Ingredients:

1 carrot (boiled)

1 small rip avocado

1 egg (beaten)

3 Tbl. honey

1⁄4 cup of heavy cream

 

 

Method:

Mash the carrot and avocado together in a small bowl with the tines of a fork. Add the other ingredients and mix well. Apply to your face and allow to rest for 20 minutes. Rinse and pat dry.

 

 

 

THE ‘GOLDEN EGG’ HAIR CONDITIONER

To strengthen and soften your hair.

Ingredients:

1 egg yolk
1 cup of water 2 tsp. olive oil

 

Method:

In a small bowl, beat the egg yolk until it is bubbly. Add the oil and whisk briskly. Now mix in the water vigorously. Massage into your hair for several minutes. Rinse with cold water.

 

 

 

 

EGGS & OATS ACNE MASK

To treat stubborn and painful acne

Ingredients:

1 Tbs Oats (crushed into powder)

1 egg white

 

 

Method:

Mix the egg white and oatmeal powder together in a small bowl until the mixture resembles tooth- paste. Apply directly to pimples and allow drying for at least 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water followed by cool water to seal in moisture.
