A difficult start…
My daughter was born with very dry skin which seemed to get worse as the weeks went by. By the age of two, her scalp was infected and was seeping pus: it looked like pieces of raw meat. Looking at her head every day was extremely distressing for my family and I. She had no hair and was a very unhappy, withdrawn child. I dreaded taking her out as everyone would point out how awful her skin looked and asked what it was. The consultants said it could be severe cradle cap, eczema or psoriasis but, even after consulting many private skin specialists, nothing seemed to work. What I needed was a miracle.
Then one day a relative suggested Homeopathy. This was the first time I had heard of it. Out of desperation I made an appointment with my local Homeopath, as I thought anything was worth a try to alleviate my daughter’s suffering. And, alhamdulillah, within a few months my daughter’s skin and scalp started to improve and, for the first time in many months, her hair started to grow back. She began to play more with other children and watching her smile when she looked in the mirror was worth everything in the world. I felt as if my prayers had been answered. Alhamdulillah.
A new journey…
Thus began my fascination with Homeopathy. I decided to study a Midwifery Homeopathy course with the British Institute of Homeopathy and then a four-year practitioner course with the Centre of Homeopathic Education. I am now a qualified homeopath and a registered member of the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths, which monitors standards of clinical and ethical practice.
Homeopathy is an effective, natural, safe and complete system of medicine. The remedies are made from a wide variety of natural substances. Homeopathy is based on the principle ‘like cures like’. This states that if a substance can cause an illness, then the same substance can cause a cure. For example, Allium Cepa (red onion) can cause eyes to weep and, when given as a homeopathic remedy to someone with weeping eyes, can provide relief.
Muslim narrated in his Sahih that the Prophet (SAW) said: “Allah has not sent down a disease except that He has also sent down its cure.”
Imam Bukhari records, “Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said “If a house fly falls in the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink), for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease” (Book of Medicine).
The remedies are prepared by using only a very small percentage of the active ingredient in the special process of dilution and succussion; thus makes the remedies more effective. Therefore they can not cause any toxic side effects or addiction. Homeopathy works by stimulating the body’s own healing process. When the body is out of balance it is in a dis-ease state. Homeopathy will assist your own system to clear itself of any imbalance and bring the body back into health and harmony, insha Allah.

A trip to a Homeopath…
The homeopath will take a detailed case of your past and present medical history, family history and details of what sort of person you are and how you feel. This is necessary to evaluate your case correctly in order to match a remedy to you as an individual. All information is treated in strictest confidence.
A homeopathic remedy is usually in the form small pillules which dissolve in the mouth and have a pleasant sweet taste. Often patients feel a sense of well-being, optimism and relaxation after taking a remedy. The speed of relief and the duration of treatment will depend on the nature of illness and each individual’s vitality.
I believe there are many men, women and children that can achieve successful relief with homeopathy. If women are supported to help maintain better health, this will equip them with positive energy for the many demands within today’s society. After all, it is the next generation we are raising and we need to be in the best of health mentally, emotionally and physically insha Allah.
What other sisters say…
“After my 3rd child, my sciatica became so severe, I was not able to walk unaided. Thanks to homeopathy, I can walk my children to school and take my 1 year old child to the park, enjoying every moment. I now feel revitalised and full of energy.”

“Homeopathy has helped me and my family tremendously. My son was 9 months old and had weeping eczema from neck downwards, he was constantly on steroid creams which didn’t help much. I turned to homeopathy and within a month it had started to clear up and was soon completely clear. He is now 8 years old and the eczema has never returned…..Alhamdullilah.
-Umm Yasin, London
“Homeopathy is slowly but surely becoming a major part of my life. I was initially introduced to this when my son was suffering from eczema, 7-8 years ago. I was very pleasantly surprised by the results. Mashallah, I now use homeopathy for every symptom my family has, from hay fever to asthma, severe bed wetting, sport injuries after football and cricket matches, even colic for my baby and emotional dilemmas. I find safety and reassurance in my self help home kit for myself and my family. Whenever I go away my kit goes with me.”
